I am close to having too many irons in the fire - again. commercial work, family and side projects are also eating my time, but I have decided that finally making my website available for others is a good thing to do now. First of all I need to use it for two other projects so it would be a good time to optimize the code. I also want other people to be able to use it - I have talked to other comic artists and the feedback I am getting is that they could use exactly a solution like this. Simple and durable.
There are a lot of things that can be done to improve it. So what is the first thing you do?
You make a logo.
I am pretty sure that this is not the normal order of things you see in most software projects, but you will always do things in your mother language first and I am not fluent in code, I am fluent in images,
Fumetti is the Italian word for comics - you can compare to the English word, fumes, and probably get the meaning. The speak bubbles looks like small clouds of fume :)
I choose a art Noveau Italian style font because of the Italian name, instead of the normal comic style font - too boring and too obvious. Rather a slightly confusing reference to Bugatti and espresso than just blending in with the rest.
Today I will discuss with my brother, who is a data scientist how I go about this GitHub thing. I still need to get comfortable with branches, commits and pull requests.
